Although Lee Foss is considered a relative newcomer, the man has already firmly established himself as the archetype for the new underground house scene.

In 2008, Lee’s growing reputation saw him leaving his hometown of Chicago, risking all for the chance of making big moves in Los Angeles. Lee quickly found a home in LA (perhaps the reason why he is typically seen in a tank top and a pair of vintage shades), where he played a significant role in helping the DJ collective Droog to develop their famed Culprit imprint. Culprit hits close to home for Lee, proudly stating, “Culprit was a brand I helped build, one I will always be associated with, run by and owned by some of my closest friends.” Considering his success as one half of the ‘Hot Natured’ duo (with Jamie Jones) and the recognition of his esteemed ‘Hot Creations’ label, it’s safe to say Lee Foss isn’t very new at all.
